2010 – Andrew Lacombe-Sabourin

2010 – Andrew Lacombe-Sabourin, who graduated in June from Ecole secondaire Le Relais in Alexandria, is the winner of the 2010 Glengarry Historical Society Prize for History.

Andrew was born in LaSalle, Québec, spent his elementary school years in Sainte-Justine-de-Newton, Québec, and his high school years in Glen Robertson, where he has many Lacombe relatives.

History was always a favourite subject. “It’s a subject I always picked and that I always did well in,” he said.

In addition to the GHS Prize for History, Andrew also won the mathematics prize in his graduating class.

These successes aside, psychology is now his chosen area of study. He begins classes this fall in that field at the Université de Montréal.
